Het is weekend. Daar kunt u niks aan doen. Dat is gewoon zo gekomen toen de vijfdaagse werkweek werd ingesteld, ergens in de twintigste eeuw. Voor die tijd was het weekeinde slechts de zondagochtenddienst, verder moest er gewerkt worden. In Islamitische landen is het weekend van vrijdag tot en met zaterdag. En de joden houden alleen weekend op zaterdag zodat ze claimen maar één dag weekend te hebben, maar ze smokkelen er dan wel altijd de vrijdagmiddag bij. U, daarentegen, als u een white privilege institutioneel Calvinist bent, hebt gewoon weekend van vrijdagavond tot en met zondagavond. Tenzij u een baan hebt gekozen waarbij dit werkdagen zijn. Dan niet en respect namens ons, want u houdt de economie draaiende. Maar als u geen werk heeft waarbij u op zaterdag of zondag werkt, heeft u nu weekend. En het is fijn dat we in een land leven waarin we dat hardop kunnen benoemen. Prettig weekend. En be nice.
